Unity is defined as a state of oneness. Unity is joining together as one for a cause. It is essential for us to practice in order to succeed.
Unification in and with God gives us strength and power for us to overcome life adversities. Jesus gave us access to unify with God and, now all we need to do is be united with each other as children of God. Our main objective as believers, therefore, is that we practice the art of unity. (Eph. 2:11-22)
Let us come in agreement proclaiming that all barriers and dividing wall of hostility that causes separation is now abolished in the name of Jesus Christ.
Unity is one of the most precious prescribed methods of solution for us to overcome desolation and barrenness. For instance every communication barrier is harmful to our vision and relationship in life.
Here is something we must grasp as a living reality: No man is an island, no man can stand alone. When people unite, they share a common cause, interest or purpose. It's time for God's children to unite so that we can succeed.
Our unity motto: 'All for one and, one for all.' We recognize that there is overcoming power when we unity together.
Jesus prayed that all believers and disciples alike become one like He and His Father are one. (John 17:20-24)
Seven principles believers must practice to bring about unity in their home, church and community:
1) Team knowledge of the word of God
(Genesis 11:1-9)
2) Team agreement
(Matthew 18:18-20)
3) Team vision
(Proverbs 29:18)
(Habakkuk 2:2-3)
4) Team work/ responsibility
5) Team interest
(Philippians 2:1-11)
6) Team goal
(Genesis 28:1-5)
7) Team success
Jesus' sorrow for Jerusalem from Luke 13:34-35
34 "Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you were not willing. 35 Look, your house is left to you desolate. I tell you, you will not see me again until you say, 'Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.
Remember these words from Matthew 12:25-28
25 Jesus knew their thoughts and said to them, "Every kingdom divided against itself will be ruined, and every city or household divided against itself will not stand. 26 If Satan drives out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then can his kingdom stand? 27 And if I drive out demons by Beelzebub, by whom do your people drive them out? So then, they will be your judges. 28 But if it is by the Spirit of God that I drive out demons, then the kingdom of God has come upon you.
Today we hold you responsible to practice God's desire for you to be united in your home, your church, and your community.
Your brother in love and unity
